Free Fitness Motivation for Your iPhone

You should always keep your goals right in front of you. If you don’t, it’s easy to stray. I swear, something I think I need to post them on my forehead to keep me on track. I need a constant reminder that I CAN do this, that it IS worth it and that I WILL succeed – as long as I stick with it. Well, now I can, and YOU CAN TOO!

How many times do you look at your phone? More times than you probably want to admit. It’s scary how often we are on our phone – so why not use it to motivate us, to keep us focused, and to challenge us to stick to our fitness routine or diet?

I recently turned one of my photo mantras into wallpaper for my lock screen on my iphone. Every time I open my iphone, it reminds me who’s boss – and encourages me to stick to my plan. After posting the screenshot on my facebook, I got some good feedback, so I decided to make a few for YOU!!

120 Ways to Motivate You

I have created 120 motivational mantra pictures. However, they were created in a square format for easy sharing on instagram, facebook, twitter, etc., so they have to be recreated to fit the slender rectangular iPhone screens. CLICK HERE to view them all.

4 Motivational Photos for iPhone 4 Wallpaper 

Directions: Click on the photo you want to use below. A larger version will open in a new window. Right click on the photo to save (or touch and hold to save on your phone). Then go to Setting > Brightness & Wallpaper > Wallpaper > Camera Roll (and choose photo). Move and scale if needed (it should fit perfectly), then click Set > Set Lock Screen. Now you are good to go! Action Trumps Motivation

Your body does only what you tell it to do.
It doesn’t care if you don’t feel like working out. Your muscles will still work, and fat will still be burned.

You don’t have to always like it or look good doing it.
Your body will still make serious changes despite your attitude or appearance. You can even hate every minute of it every single time you workout, and your body will get hotter and hotter every day.

You can succeed even when you fail.
Even if you don’t get those few extra reps or those last few steps, you will still make positive changes. Even if you didn’t reach a new personal best and your time was the same as your last race, your body can still change, still improve, and still fight fat and aging.

Your body reacts to action, not thoughts.
Even if you have a fowl mood and drag your lazy, stressed out, ticked off butt to the gym, your body can still have a good workout. And if you can’t celebrate your workouts, celebrate your body for responding to your actions and not your mind.

Action trumps motivation any day of the week.
Many of you may think it’s easier to workout if you are motivated, but in the end, your body really doesn’t care what you think – it only matters what you do.


Finish What You Started

Joyce Meyer once defined excellence as “Excellence is not extravagance. Excellence is simply being the best you can be with what you have”.

How often do we compare ourselves to others? How often do we define excellence as ‘best’ or by how much talent someone was born with? If you are honest, I bet it’s way too often. If excellence is being our best, then that means finishing what we started, no matter how we compare with others.

Just think how much greater we would be if we finished everything we started. Yet, we are often tempted to compare ourselves to others to the point it can make us quit – or worse, it can make us not even start.

Today let’s redefine what a winner is. It’s not 1st place. It’s YOUR 100%. YOUR best. It’s YOU finishing what you started. THAT’s what makes a champion. THAT’s what makes a winner. Vow today to finish what you have started. And no matter how hard it gets or how long it takes, never, NEVER give up!

Feeling are WEAK, yet YOU are STRONG!

We can’t allow our feelings, in the moment, affect the moments to come. We have to base our decision on what we know – and trust me, we all KNOW what we NEED to do today.

When is the last time you skipped a workout or ate something you shouldn’t have and thought “I’m so glad I did that”? I don’t know about you, but that’s NEVER happened to me. My poor decisions in the moment only left me with a bunch of yucky regret.

Quit Talking Yourself Out of It
If you give yourself enough time, you can easily talk yourself into, or out of, doing just about anything. We all have the unique ability to justify our actions. HOWEVER, no matter how good we are at convincing ourselves of doing anything other than taking the steps required to reach our goal, we have to live with the consequences – and they are never as “OK” as we try to make them seem.

Each time we skip a workout or cheat on our diet, we are single-handedly sabotaging our progress – and not just for a 1-hour workout or one day of clean eating. Normally, when we goof, it’s bigger than that and can even take up to a week to correct.

Make Yourself Proud
Don’t allow your body to tell it what IT wants to do. You tell it what YOU want it to do, to BECOME what YOU want to BECOME – so no matter how you feel today, you’ll be PROUD tomorrow.
